VPN for your device

VPN for a router

A personal VPN for your router on your own server: a dedicated IP on the PERSONAL plan, a choice of 60+ locations, a ready Keenetic (Entware / opkg) package with a :2222 web UI, an OpenWrt .ipk package, and config files for router firmware to cover the whole home network.

Why a VPN on a router

MeduzaVPN turns your router into a private gateway to the internet through a personal VPS in the location you choose. On the PERSONAL plan, your traffic goes through your own server and your own IP, not a shared address like most mass-market VPNs.

On Keenetic routers with Entware (opkg on a USB drive or internal storage), a 1-line installer sets up the full MeduzaVPN daemon (including MeduzaVPN ULTRA) and a standalone web panel on port :2222 with QR sign-in, external URL subscriptions, and split routing by domains and LAN devices. On OpenWrt our .ipk package adds a LuCI page, while on stock firmware you import a WireGuard or OpenVPN config file from your account.

How to set up a VPN on a router

  1. 1

Create an account and choose a location

Create a MeduzaVPN account and choose a VPN location from 30+ countries.

  2. 2

Install the package (Keenetic opkg / OpenWrt) or import the config

On Keenetic (with Entware / opkg on USB or internal storage) run the one-line installer below, or on OpenWrt install the MeduzaVPN .ipk package, then approve the router from your phone by QR code in the web panel (:2222 on Keenetic or LuCI on OpenWrt) — supports MeduzaVPN ULTRA, URL subscriptions and split routing. On MikroTik, run the script from your account; on stock firmware, import the WireGuard or OpenVPN config.

  3. 3

    Connect to the server

Now all your device's traffic goes through your own server — on the PERSONAL plan, with a dedicated IP and no shared users.

MikroTik (RouterOS 7) takes no packages: a ready script for your VPN is in your account, on the VPN page. Any router with WireGuard or OpenVPN in its firmware can also use the config file from your account.

«Fair price, no issues with speed, plenty of servers for any task. One minor wish — I'd love more detailed connection and traffic stats in the app. It would also be nice to get push notifications when the connection drops. Doesn't affect the core functionality, overall happy and not planning to switch.»

«Took it on trial after a bad experience with another service. Everything works the way it should: stable connection, decent speed even in the evening, and payment went through without any hassle. I used to be skeptical about services like this, but now I recommend it to friends without hesitation. I'll be staying for the long run.»

Router VPN questions

Which routers work with MeduzaVPN?

Keenetic routers with Entware (opkg on USB or internal storage, with our :2222 web panel and MeduzaVPN ULTRA), OpenWrt 24.10 routers (our .ipk package with a LuCI page), MikroTik with RouterOS 7 (ready script), Linux gateways (arm64, arm, mips, mipsle), and any router that supports WireGuard or OpenVPN in its stock firmware.

How do I set up the VPN on a router?

On Keenetic with Entware, run the one-line opkg installer over SSH and open the web panel on port :2222 to sign in by QR code from your phone. On OpenWrt, install our .ipk package and open MeduzaVPN in LuCI. On stock firmware, download the WireGuard or OpenVPN config file from your account and import it into your router's admin panel.

Does it protect every device on my home network?

Yes. When the VPN runs on the router, every device connected to that network — phones, computers, TVs and more — goes through your dedicated server and IP without any per-device setup.

Will a router VPN slow down my connection?

Speed depends on your router's hardware, since it handles the encryption for the whole network. On a capable router with WireGuard the impact is small, and a dedicated server just for you on the PERSONAL plan keeps the connection stable.

Does MeduzaVPN store my traffic through a router?

No. We don't store the content of your traffic, and on the server each protocol runs in an isolated container on your personal VPS.
